Sesame Street

Sesame Street first premiered on public television stations on November 10, 1969. It was the first preschool educational television program. Sesame Street was created by Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrisett. The program is known for its images communicated through the use of  Jim Henson's Muppets. 

Sesame Street is known for its extensive merchandising. Licensees include a variety of companies which manufacture books, magazines, video/audio media, and toys using the characters and themes of Sesame Street.
